Intent
The English Department is devoted to fostering and implementing our school's values of Join in, be Motivated and be Ambitious. It is through those same values that we inspire students to become confident and critical thinkers in our English classroom and beyond. We are dedicated to preparing students to become empowered individuals who have a strong understanding of the world that they are living in.

These concepts are culture and identify [Year 7+8+9], power and society [Year 8+9], youth and mental health [Year 9] which are spiralled as building blocks to ensure students become confident and critical lifelong learners.
