John Madejski Academy

Extra-curricular Activities

Overview

John Madejski Academy believes that all students should have access to enrichment opportunities, regardless of any barriers or personal circumstances. We have a strongly held belief that providing exceptional experiences outside our academic curriculum will support students in making exceptional progress and enrich their lives.

Extracurricular clubs start on Monday 12th September. The majority of clubs will take place after school and are FREE for all students. It is thoroughly encouraged that students take these opportunities to support their development and enjoyment of JMA. After all, one of our JMA values is JOIN IN!!!

If you have any further questions regarding specific clubs, please email the leader of the club.

Note; all PE/sporting extracurricular activities require full JMA PE kit along with the correct footwear.

Why join a club?

Young people’s skills start to grow and evolve from an early age, and their time at school plays a significant role in shaping their attributes and personality. By taking part in our after-school clubs, students enhance their social skills and enjoy spending time with other children outside of the classroom. They also develop a range of other attributes, depending on which club they attend.

"We encourage all pupils to take part in a variety of activities that promote personal growth and achievement."
